Eclectic Home in Spain # 2

When this Spanish couple decided to live together, each brought their own furniture. His pieces were mostly made of wood and classic while she loved lots of colour and a more contemporary style. They seemed to have compromised and left nothing out in their urban home.


A sunburst mirror hangs above the small fireplace which is used to store books.

The potted plants in the covered porches give these rooms an outdoorsy feel.


An Indian carved coffee table sits on a Union Jack rug. How about decorating your coffee table with a stiletto shoe?


Theatre inspired vignette on the chest in the foyer.


Venetian masks, a stiletto shoe displayed in a box, and a red kettle add interest to this bookcase.


This halls leads to the kitchen and bedroom.


Lots of colourful items in the industrial style kitchen.

The bathroom is quite classic and femenine with soft colours.


Mixture of textures and fabrics in the master bedroom. The shoe found its way to the bedroom.

Modern Vintage House

Before taking today's tour, I suggest you play a Beatles song which I think would go perfectly well with the style of this house. Spanish interior designer Teresa Abaitua combined mostly modern and vintage 1960's furniture with a few restored antiques and it is interesting to see how she made this mixture of styles work. Looking at these pictures really takes me back in time and, although not extremely psychedelic, I even expect to see Austin Powers in one of them!

Modern Apartment in Spain

Good Monday morning to all my precious readers. Hope you had a sunny weekend. I like modern apartments when they are not extremely modern. Some classic lines mixed with modern furniture and lots of colourful accents in every room make this functional apartment in Spain both happy and inviting. Come and see if you like it.


















Nothig wrong about being a shoe lover but I think I'd fill those shelves with books instead!

White Residence in London

Good Sunday morning to all of you. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I have posted two other shooting locations from London based 1st-option before here and here if you missed them. Notice the completely different style of the modern living room and kitchen of the first few pics to the rest of the rooms full of antique furniture. Mostly white on white this residence called Balham House has many lovely details to get inspired.
